“芸を継ぐ者~Inheriting the House” Exhibition
The “芸を継ぐ者~Inheriting the House” exhibition, which took place in Kyoto in Aug~Sep 2022, demonstrated a long-term documentary conducted by french photojournalist Nicolas Datiche. The story is regarding Ms. Mai Watanabe, a Japanese woman who is part of the legend that is a traditional family geigi (geisha in the North of Japan) house. This exhibition focuses on the three-generation Geigi families, which is very special in the Geigi world in Japan, and the various aspects of Mai in both professional and private life.
2022 年 8月至 9月在京都寫真美術館舉辦的「芸を継ぐ者～Inheriting the House」攝影展展示了法國攝影記者 Nicolas Datiche 關於渡邊真衣，一位祖母、母親、包含她自己皆為藝伎的長篇紀錄片。此展覽著重於這個在日本藝伎界也極為特殊的三代藝伎家庭，以及真衣於公於私的各種面貌。
